What Employer of Record costs in Indonesia
Three components, and you only control the first one directly: the salary you set, the statutory contributions Indonesian law requires, and one monthly fee per employee for our service. We quote the fee, we do not mark up the salary, and the statutory part is itemised on every invoice.
What your invoice contains
- Gross salary. Set by you, paid to the employee in rupiah, passed through at cost.
- Employer contributions. BPJS Kesehatan, JHT, JP, JKK, JKM and the THR accrual, each on its own line.
- Our fee. One figure per employee per month, agreed in the services agreement.
Use the cost estimator to see the first two for any salary, then ask us for the third.
What is included in the fee
- Bilingual employment contract, permanent or fixed term, reviewed against current Indonesian rules
- Registration with BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and payment of the employer share
- Monthly payroll run: salary paid in IDR to the employee's local bank account
- Payslips with the calculation basis on every line, in English and Indonesian
- PPh 21 withholding, monthly reporting and the December recalculation
- THR accrual and payout, plus leave, overtime and attendance records
- Onboarding, contract amendments, and statutory offboarding with the exit cost known up front
- A named English speaking contact, and your data exportable at any time
What is not included
- The employee's gross salary itself, which you set and which we pass through without a markup
- Statutory employer contributions, itemised on the invoice at cost
- One off costs such as recruitment, if you ask us to find the person through KerjaBoard
- Work permits and relocation, which apply to foreign nationals rather than Indonesian hires
- Variable pay you approve, such as bonuses, commissions and overtime
What changes the fee
- Number of employees
- A single hire is fine. Volume changes the per employee fee.
- Contract complexity
- Fixed term with end-of-contract compensation, permanent, part time, or shift work.
- Pay complexity
- Commissions, overtime, multiple pay components or expense reimbursements add payroll work.
- Support expectations
- A written response time and a named contact, or a looser arrangement.
